The Ministry of Education and Sports invites applications from qualified Ugandan scholars to pursue undergraduate and master's studies at esteemed Chinese Universities for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Fields and Available Slots

Undergraduate Level:

1. Veterinary Medicine - 2 slots

Masters Level:

1. Gynaecology - 2 slots
2. Ophthalmology - 2 slots
3. Civil Engineering - 2 slots

Eligibility Criteria

1. Undergraduate Level:

   • Minimum 'C' grade in Biology and Chemistry.
   • Completion of 'A' Level in 2019, 2020, or 2022.

2. Masters Level:

   • Minimum CGPA of 3.60 in the relevant field.
   • At least two years of working experience in the relevant field.

3. Applicants must not exceed 25 years of age for the Undergraduate level and 35 years for the Masters level at the time of application.

4. Government scholarship/sponsorship recipients need not apply.

5. Foreign qualification holders must have their academic papers equated by UNEB for undergraduates and NCHE for postgraduates.

6. Applicants should possess a valid passport or evidence of application.

Application Process

1. Download the application form:

   • Visit the Ministry of Education and Sports website www.education.go.ug.

2. Submit a Typed Application Letter:

   • Include a recent passport photograph.
   • Provide details such as age, sex, course, home district, telephone contact, and email address.
   • Attach photocopies of academic certificates and transcripts.

3. Send Application to:

   • The Secretary, Central Scholarships Committee, Ministry of Education and Sports.
   • Physical submission: Department of Admissions, Scholarships, and Student Affairs, Legacy Towers, 2nd Floor Wing B, Kyadondo Road - Kampala.
   • Email submission: scholarships@education.go.ug.

4. Deadline:

   • Applications must reach the Ministry not later than Thursday, 25th January 2024.

Selection Process

• The shortlist will be displayed on the Ministry of Education and Sports Notice Boards and www.education.go.ug on Friday, 2nd February 2024.
