Keza Psychology Centre in partnership with AIDS and Rights Alliance for Southern Africa (ARASA), Humura Therapy (HT), Empower Youth in Technology (EYIT) and Reach a Hand Uganda (RAHU) has organized a Bodily Autonomy & Integrity, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights advocacy Training under the theme ‘Public Recreational Facilities for sustainable SRHR education’ scheduled for Sunday, 22nd January, 2023 at the MUST UCoBs Project Conference Hall.

The event is designed to empower university students and the community to advocate for the promotion of Bodily Autonomy & Integrity, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights using a peer educator approach. The training will involve a focus on the use of public recreational facilities as a sustainable means of educating the public on Sexual and Reproductive Health issues, as well as promoting mental health. The training will focus on the integration of mental health promotion within the advocacy efforts for SRHR.

This training will be led by experienced advocates and experts in the field of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, who will provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively advocate for these issues. The training will include interactive sessions on topics such as understanding the importance of Bodily Autonomy and Integrity, promoting Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights as well as using effective advocacy strategies to effect change.

Participants will also have the opportunity to network with other advocates and organizations working on similar issues and be enabled to gain access to resources and tools to help them in their advocacy efforts.

Overall, this event aims to empower individuals and organizations with the knowledge, skills and resources to advocate for Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights with a consideration of using public safe spaces for its promotion and as a sustainable means of promoting education and mental health. It is not only a training but also a platform for advocacy and action.
