How we analyse and rate Schools
The SchoolsUganda Metric and algorithm is a data-driven approach to analyze and rate schools based on their academic performance. The metric considers a set of grades over multiple years for analysis and includes various factors such as student-teacher ratio, curriculum, etc. In this example, two schools, School A (UGANDA MARTYRS SS, NAMUGONGO) and School B (SEETA HIGH SCHOOL), are used for demonstration purposes.
The pass rate is calculated by considering any grade better than P7 or Div 4 as a pass in that subject. The percentage pass rate is determined by dividing the number of students who passed (pass rate) by the total number of students in that subject, expressed as a percentage.
It's important to note that this analysis does not consider non-academic factors such as school infrastructure, fees, transport, teacher quality, ownership, or remuneration. The focus is purely on the academic progress of the school using at least three past years of data.

The SchoolsUganda Metric and algorithm then examines the gender-specific pass rates for the selected years and uses this information to draw conclusions. It is important to note that the details of the calculations performed after this step are not included in this analysis. The focus is on presenting a clear and concise overview of the methodology used to analyze the data.
The SchoolsUganda Metric and algorithm not only performs data analysis but also generates graphical representations based on the data. These visual aids help to present the information in a clear and easy-to-understand manner and provide insights into the performance trends of the schools being analyzed. The graphical representations allow for a quick and effective way to compare the performance of different schools and identify areas for improvement.
Then the algorithm comes up with a final Conclusion like
