Code of Conduct

PREAMBLE

This school of conduct intends to guide the student in understanding his/her stay at Gayaza Road Secondary School i.e. Positive result orientation. The school is formed at a high level of academic smartness, social behavior and a great discipline culture. You are in that way expected to put up with tradition; bearing in mind that failure to do so, leads to loss of privilege to stay in the school.

VALUES

1. We make our plans, but God directs our actions.
2. We are a proudly disciplined Ugandan school and are committed to Uganda’s development. Uganda is our home, a pleasure we treasure most.
3. We respect each other irrespective of positions we hold, teaching staff, support staff, parents and students.
4. We belong to a cultured society and fully understand and prescribe to the principle of unity in diversity.
5. We have a strongly result driven approach to doing business.
6. We are committed to continuous improvement in everything we do.
7. We are open and honest in all our dealings.
8. We are neat and smart people.

It is very important therefore, that a student should;

1. Integrate him/herself into the school community to become socially acceptable.
2. Build up a positive results academic record, social or otherwise that will go into his/her reports, personal record or recommendation
3. Not to allow him/herself to be misled by another/other student(s).
4. Realise that the school facilities and services are not a right but a privilege to good students and therefore, he/she will lose his /her place if they behave on the contrary or if they fail to do well in class.
5. Understand that the staff is impartial and parental. Its main job is to assist the student to improve their behavior both in and outside class.

A student should observe with conscience and consistency the following rules and regulations governing Gayaza Road Secondary School as a social and learning institute.
